While making dinner last week I started to read the side of the packaging that was written in French. I was hoping to learn some new vocabulary that would be familiar to me in English.

Through reading the french side of packaging I was able to learn a few new words that I would use frequently in a cooking situation in English.
I learned:
salt= sel
sugar=sucre
pasta=pâtes
basil=basilic
tomato=tomate
